Gifts for care home's children - Eastern Province

LetUsHelpNow Foundation provided gifts for children from sixteen children's homes and one elder home in the Eastern province. The project benefited 304 children and 16 elders.

Beyond our usual type of projects, we wanted to do something different directly for the children and elders. Through this project, we assisted children in meeting some of their basic needs such as clothing, shoes or school equipment. Further, we provided collective gifts such as game/play equipment/musical instruments or other supplies that children can share and enjoy. Through these gifts, we brought small joy to the children who have been confined to the care homes for more than a year due to Covid. We provided funds for the elder home to purchase gifts such as radios, table fans, and personal care items. 

“Eela Uravukal” supported this project by sponsoring a local vendor Venmathi Small Clothing Factory (Vinayagapuram, Thirukkovil, Amparai) in stitching Rs 244,080 worth of clothes for children from three homes.  Venmathi Small Clothing Factory was set up with support from “Eela Uravukal “. கிழக்கு மாகாணத்தில் உள்ள பதினாறு சிறுவர் இல்லங்களில் வசிக்கும் 304 சிறுவர்களுக்கும், 16 மூத்தோர்களுக்கும் பரிசுப்பொருட்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

எமது வழமையான மாதாந்த செயற்றிட்ங்களுக்கு அப்பால் சிறுவா்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி தரும் பரிசில்கைள தர விரும்பினோம். இல்லங்களில் உள்ள சிறுவர்களின் தேவைகள் தனித்தனியாக கலந்தாலோசிக்கப்பட்டு, சிறுவர்களுக்கான அத்தியாவசியப் பொருள் ( உடை, பாதணி, பாடசாலை உபகரணங்கள் ) அத்துடன் அனைவரும் பாவித்து மகிழக்கூடிய உள்ளக விளையாட்டுப் பொருட்கள் அல்லது இசைக்கருவிகள் என்பன வாங்கி வழங்கப்பட்டன. கடந்த ஆண்டிலிருந்து இல்லங்களுக்குள்ளேயே இருந்த இச்சிறுவர்களுக்கு,  தற்போது நிலவும் மழை காலத்தில் எம்மாலான இந்த சிறிய உதவிப்பொருட்கள் சிறு மகிழ்வினையாவது வழங்கும் என நம்புகிறோம். மேலும், மூத்தோர்களுக்கு, அவர்கள் விரும்பக்கூடிய வானொலி, மேசை மின்விசிறி போன்ற பரிசுகளை வழங்க நிதி வழங்கப்பட்டது.

இந்தச் செயற்திட்டத்தில் உள்ள மூன்று இல்லச் சிறுவர்களுக்கு ஈழ உறவுகள் பங்களிப்பாளர்கள் உள்ளூரில் இயங்கும் வெண்மதி சிறு ஆடைத் தொழிற்சாலை (விநாயபுரம், திருக்கோவில், அம்பாறை) ஊடாக ரூபா 244, 080 பெறுமதியான ஆடைகளை தைத்து வழங்கி உதவினார்கள்.  அவர்களுக்கு மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகள். வெண்மதி சிறு ஆடைத் தொழிற்சாலை அம்பாறையில் உள்ள பெண்களுக்கு வேலை வாய்ப்பு வழங்கும் நோக்குடன் ஈழ உறவுகள் ஆதரவில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட சிறு தொழிற்சாலை என்பது இங்கு குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
