Since November 2019, LetUsHelpNow Foundation has selected a specific home and fulfilled a need for that home with small donations from people like you. In the past two months, the focus has shifted to providing COVID-19 relief to homes in urgent need.
The homes are prioritized by local government bodies in Sri Lanka based on factors such as the funding situation of the home, resources on hand, and the number of occupants in the home.
Assistance provided include basic needs (e.g. food, beds), education equipment/supplies (e.g. notebooks, computers) and Covid19 Relief (e.g. monthly dry food supply, Personal protective equipment).
The people in charge of the homes are individually contacted, their needs verified and the funds are directly deposited into the homes’ bank accounts by LetUsHelpNow Foundation.
Yes, we are a federally registered non-profit organization in Canada. However we do not issue tax receipts for donations as we are not a registered charity yet.
Receipts and thank you letters from homes are obtained and published publicly online. Information about the home, including their contact information, assistance provided and account details are published publicly online. For more information, see http://letushelpnow.org/projects
