Provision of portable DVD and accessories to the children with cerebral palsy

LetUsHelpNow Foundation provided funds for portable DVD players and accessories to more than 30 children with cerebral palsy in order to assist with their education and everyday endeavours.

This project was coordinated by Jaffna Jaipur Centre for Disability Rehabilitation. JJCDR has embarked on several projects and plays an important role in empowering people with disability. JJCDR formed a five member committee to identify the qualified children (based on need) and distribute the DVD players and accessories. 
  
Children affected by cerebral palsy usually have limited mobility or are completely bedridden which often leads to various health complications including muscle weakness and contractures. So they struggle to make friends and find it difficult to fit into a community.

The equipment were delivered to children in batches, following COVID protocols on November 29, 2021 at a simple function hosted by JJCDR.
